In line with our objective to promote ICT in international trade and as part of the Chamber’s continual efforts to improve their services to the business community, the TDN has developed a state of the art web based e-Certificate of Origin solution for Chambers interested in deploying it. This solution is FREE and can be further customized for each Chamber that wishes to leverage it.

One of the major roles of a Chamber of Commerce is the issuance and attestation of Certificates of Origin and other trade documents. To remain efficient to 21st. century business needs and requirements, chambers are actively exploring and learning more about the electronic delivery of certificates of origin.

The TDN’s Cert of Origin system enables the business community to apply for CoOs electronically over the internet with the Chamber which would accept electronic applications from exporters and their agents and issue CoOs electronically, as well as, allow electronic transmission of an approved CoO to a designated party (eg. a bank for LC clearance).

This FREE Electronic CoO system, developed by TDN encompasses security technologies like Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), and Unique Document ID’s and serial numbers that can be authenticated and which ensure user authentication, confidentiality, data integrity and user accountability through public-key encryption and digital signatures.

8. Allows you to check/monitor online the status of your CoO applications.
9. Provides system alerts to notify relevant parties involved in the CoO application and approval process when a CoO has been approved, viewed or printed.

11. The process of applying for a Certificate of Origin, before the arrival of electronic certificates took days to complete. With the new initiatives this process can be cut down to a few minutes.
